The 34th Infantry Division is an Army National Guard Division Headquarters located in Rosemount, Minnesota. Known as the Red Bulls, the 34th Infantry Division is capable of deploying its Main Command Post, Tactical Command Post, and Special Troops Battalion to provide command and control for Army Brigades.

34th Infantry Division Headquarters

The Division Headquarters is the Army's primary tactical and operational war fighting organization. It has a main command post for planning and analysis and a tactical command post capable of controlling different types of operations simultaneously with up to six maneuver brigades of any type in combat and more in protracted stability operations. The Division Headquarters has no organic subordinate elements assigned to it other than a division special troops battalion, the division band and a Military Police Company.

34th Infantry Division Special Troops Battalion

The 34th Infantry Division Special Troops Battalion (34th ID STB) is a Minnesota Army National Guard Battalion that provides the necessary internal logistics and communications for the 34th Infantry Division Headquarters. Additionally, 34th ID STB is prepared to support the State of Minnesota with troops capable of assisting civil authorities during a disaster. The STB is headquartered in Inver Grove Heights and has two subordinate companies: Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) in Inver Grove Heights and A Company in Inver Grove Heights and Faribault.

34th Military Police Company

The 34th Military Police Company (34th MP Co.) is a unit of about 180 Soldiers headquartered in Stillwater, Minn. Soldiers in the 34th MP Co. are trained to perform a variety of tasks during both peacetime and war. The 34th MP Co. is capable of supporting the US Army with a trained and ready combat force; additionally, the 34th MP Co. is prepared to support the State of Minnesota with troops capable of assisting civil authorities in a disaster. Military police have five main operations and responsibilities: maneuver and mobility, area security, internment and resettlement, law and order, and intelligence.

34th Infantry Division Band

The 34th Infantry Division Band is a Minnesota Army National Guard unit stationed in Rosemount. The "Red Bull" Band plays a varied repertoire of music for Minnesota National Guard ceremonies and events. The band features talented musicians that are trained as both performers and Soldiers.

Additionally, the 34th Infantry Division Band is prepared to support the State of Minnesota with troops capable of assisting civil authorities during a disaster. 

Within and outside Minnesota

Within Minnesota, the 34th ID provides training and operational leadership to the 1st Brigade Combat Team and the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade. Outside Minnesota, the 34th Infantry Division provides training and operational guidance to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Iowa National Guard; 116th Brigade Combat Team, Idaho National Guard; 32nd Brigade Combat Team, Wisconsin National Guard; 115th Fires Brigade, Wyoming National Guard; 67th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, Nebraska National Guard; 141st Combat Support Brigade, North Dakota National Guard; and the 157th Combat Support Brigade, Wisconsin National Guard.
