CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE ADDER, Iraq – Command Sgt Maj. Doug Julin, Command Sergeant Major of the 34th Infantry Division, visited Soldiers and Airmen assigned to Contingency Operating Base Adder to check on the morale and welfare of the servicemembers stationed there.
“We travel about four to five days a week,” Julin said.
Talking to the service members and handing out coins as he went, Julin asked about their jobs, as well as their working and living conditions.
Talking candidly and offering laughs and an attentive ear, Julin asked about any problems the servicemembers might be having.
“We check on their welfare and training,” Julin said. “It lets people know they are being looked after out here.”
