“It is by, with and through God’s grace that you experience his presence in life.” That was the message to 34th Red Bull Infantry Division Soldiers by Chaplain Brig. Gen. Bryan Hult during a prayer breakfast held at the North Fort Lewis Chapel March 23.

Chaplain Hult, the Army National Guard Chief of Chaplains, told the Red Bull Soldiers that no matter what happens, God’s presence will be with you during your deployment. This simple reminder could not come at a better time, when Soldiers are nearing the end of their mobilization training and preparing to arrive in theatre in a matter of weeks.

Chaplain Hult, who grew up in White Bear Lake, Minn., assists the Army Chief of Chaplains on all programs, policies and plans affecting the Army National Guard chaplains and chaplain assistants. During his visit to Fort Lewis, Chaplain Hult met with the Red Bull ministry team. “I want to make sure that they are receiving the training so that when they go into theater, they will be ready for the mission,” Hult said.

The Red Bulls will be in charge of leadership, command, control, and in-depth analysis for a 16,000 person multi-national division, and will have direct partnership with more than 40,000 Iraqi Security Forces in nine of Iraq’s 18 provinces. Division Soldiers have been actively training for the responsibility that comes with their deployment.

“It shows the high level of visibility that we have the support from National Guard Bureau for our mobilization,” said Chaplain Lt. Col. John Morris, 34th Red Bull Infantry Division Chaplain.

After the prayer breakfast, Chaplain Hult visited with Red Bull Soldiers, toured the area and met with Maj. Gen. Nash.
